Tour operators to Kenya who extended the suspension of holidays over the weekend meet today to determine whether to lift restrictions.
Kenya travel Operators originally suspended trips to the strike-torn country indefinitely.
However members of the Federation of Tour Operators announced that following advice from the Foreign Office they were suspending holidays to Kenya with departures due up to and including Monday, (January 25th) due to the current political unrest.
Customers due to fly over the coming days should contact their travel agent or tour operator, the FTO said. Alternative holidays will be offered where available or refunds of money paid.
Holidaymakers currently in Kenya are being advised of the Foreign Office advice to travellers and are expected to return home on their planned departure dates.
“The situation is being reviewed daily and any changes to departures planned after 7 January will be made over the coming days and customers notified in
advance,” the FTO said.
