Simpson and woodley join BA cabin crew farce

Unite’s top two officials were today due to join the British Airways picket line as the cabin crew strike entered its third day this week.

Joint UNITE general secretaries Derek Simpson and Tony Woodley were visiting the picket line to show their belated support for the strikers.

They were also due to detail what they said was a new attempt by the union to restart talks with BA.

Unite claims the strike has so far cost BA an estimated £70m so far and the cost could reach as high as £152m.
