With the cost of family holidays the biggest bone of contention during the school break, families are now more than ever prepared to lie to get a bargain holiday and avoid paying the £100 fine for removing their children during school term time…
Who can really blame the One in 8 parents, that lie to their children’s school in order to save money on their family holiday and not get fined.
However it must be said, even if a family paid the fine they would still save on average over £400. Who would not want so save that sort of money..
So to help familes get the best deals, we shopped around and found, its better for family’s to go direct to the main travel tour operators, for the best savings.
Holiday research shows some 20% OF families told teachers either that their kids were ill, that the dates they planned to go on holiday were the only ones available or that the plane was delayed coming home.
Just under half of those surveyed said they were prepared to take their children out of school to get a better deal.
Almost nine out of ten said that despite unconfirmed rumours of tax rises and the economic climate they were still determined to have a family holiday abroad and would shave the cost any way they could..
Family finances are still tight and there’s talk about tax rises to come, so people are understandably looking at how they can get the best value. Whilst parents throughout the UK would rather not take their children out of school, they feel they have little choice.
