The start of cruise travel firms collapsing has started, brought on by the Costa tragedy and the economic downturn – Totally Travel Leisure Holidays is the first of many.
Up to 25 staff have lost their jobs after the parent company of 1st4cruising.com and Voyana Luxury Cruising ceased trading.
Administrators have confirmed that Totally Travel Leisure Holidays is expected to go into liquidation on April 11. A spokesman for administrators Harris Lipman said: “The reason (for the liquidation) is the downturn, fewer bookings and squeezed margins putting pressure on the company.”
This comes less than 12 months after chief executive Harry Goodman’s former company, Totally Travel, went into administration. The brands continued to operate under the new holding company, TTLH.
