Yet this is exactly, what they Thomson have done, considering they are not the cheapest travel tour operator. You would think they would want all the internet traffic and online booking clicks they could get.

Just why they have taken this bizarre step, when the cost coefficient of affiliate sales, has to be less than paying a travel agent commission as well as the cost of supplying said agent with thousands of brochures.
Thomson may offer good quality travel offers, but jeez why bite the hand that feeds that cost effective part of your business..
