Cruising why bother

This is a bad year for the cruise industry – Passengers were called to muster stations after a fire broke out on an Azamara Club Cruises ship in Asia today. Passengers will get a full refund, but the damage has already been done to consumer confidence.

The blaze in the engine room on Azamara Quest was put out and there were no reported injuries to passengers.

The 716-passenger ship, on a 17-night cruise from Hong Kong to Singapore which departed on Monday, is running on back up power.

Azamara Quest is adrift in seas south of the Philippines, with one crew member seriously injured, after it lost propulsion following a fire in an engine room

Update: Propulsion has been restored on the Azamara Quest and it is expected to reach Sandakan in Malaysia within 24 to 48 hours

Or check out - On the beach holidays, ot beach, I book holidays a con site?

otbeach on the beach holidays The bulk of the "On the beach complaints" concern - Persistent call backs after you think you have booked online to ask for more, huge extra cost surcharges. Extremely poor customer service .

According to ABTA they trade as: On the Beach, I book holidays, Otbeach so be careful.
